I have the luxury of being able to train in my living room, so I do it barefoot. I ordered 2 pairs of Feiyue shoes after watching Mark Wildman's video showing off his new Feiyue's - I'd wear those if I ever decided to train outdoors. I got the 2 pairs for only $50 with free shipping. Apparently they're $3 in China. They have a reputation of lasting only a few months but since I've only been walking and not training in mine, I've gotten them to last a couple of years and counting.
I'm always focusing on the cues of the KB movements. Music would be a distraction for me, so I don't listen while training.
