It's a shame very few people with a Western background will even know what this is. D Day has been blown out of proportion and regardless of what one's position is about the Soviet regime, without the USSR and the enormous sacrifices on the Eastern front, we'd probably be speaking German now. Credit where credit is due.

My grandpa Josef has joined Svoboda's army in Russia when he was 16. He fought bravely in the hell of the battle of Dukla, and came victoriously to Prague in May 1945. I still remember his war stories and can't help myself to admire his and his brothers-in-arms courage. I miss him.

Respects to all heroes from East and West who fought for our freedom.

Happy (belated) Victory Day!  I've got a WW2 vet client who told me a Russian soldier gave him his watch in Berlin.  He's still got his grip.  There are not many left.
