Bodyweight Hardstyle Breathing and...uh...TMI?

Howdy, y'all. I've been trying to dial in on the details of my training, eliminating unnecessary elements, all that good stuff.
I've been revisiting, among other books, Hardstyle Abs, starting first with Hardstyle Breathing. Just a few days into the approach but...

Look, I'll just come out and say it: does anybody else get just explosive burps after doing this?

I have really uncomfortable, very powerful burps after doing these. I scared the cats, it was so loud. I almost rattle dishes. I'm afraid I'll wake my wife and she's asleep on the other side of the house.
Is this just a personal problem, or does anybody else deal with this? Is there an effective solution? Hopefully one that doesn't involve pickles and vodka?
 
Do you eat or drink something prior to the training? I have practiced some hard qi gong, which has similar principles as hardstyle breathing, and I noticed that if I drink water prior to the training, I get burpy.
