The more I do Kettlebell ballistics such as Snatchs the more you become convinced they are better for shoulder health . The scientific reasoning for this I don't know.

Last month I've exchanged the KB Press for the KB Snatch.

I dont train High volume. 5 reps with the 24kg, the 3 with the 28kg, then 2 reps with the 32kg repeated for a 2 or 3 waves.

But my shoulders have never felt better. Highly flexible, no twinges. Curious what others think?

As a general principle, I'm not sure I buy the conclusion that snatches and other ballistics are better for shoulder health -- too many variables in individual exercise form, anatomy, training and injury history, load, volume, progression, etc.

However, I think a statement like, "IF pressing tends to jack up YOUR shoulders, you MAY still be able to work overhead comfortably using ballistic exercises instead," has a a lot of validity.

But then I think the same can be said for get ups and windmills versus presses.
