Hi all,

During kettlebell swings, it seems that no matter how much I hinge and wait for the bell, the kettlebell flips up to some degree during the backswing.

I have corrected it to the extent that it no longer touches my backside by hinging further and deeper, however when I film myself it is apparent that it still flips up a little.

Could this be down to either;
The kettlebell being too light for my frame/strength levels? (it is only 20kg)
I am gripping it too tight on the backswing?

I am currently working towards 1 hand swings and it is interesting to note it doesn't happen on these.

Any advice you could offer me would be great, thanks.

Post a video, please, so that we can see what you mean by "a little."

Thanks very much.

A copy/paste from Facebook SF Instructor's page, where someone posted the same situation. Eric Addis SFG advised "Not waiting for the bell to float down and reconnect with the body, a hinge too stiff legged, cutting the hinge short and trying to swing "straight forward and back" with the hips are things that lead to bell flip at the bottom of the swing."
