Hi everyone.

So, I'm a mouth-breather. My nose channels simply aren't wide enough to let me breathe properly through the nose. I can hardly do it, even while lying completely still. And trust me: that's just how it is. I've meditated for 30 years and can hold my breath for 5 mins, raise body temperature 4 degrees C' and other related body-control stuff, but I just can't get enough air through the nose to sustain a hear rate much above 70 bpm, which makes hard style KB practice rather difficult. Or marathon running, which was the fancy of my 20's.

I have the option of surgery, but since this is not a problem outside training I'd rather not.

So what do I do?

So far I've just 'translated' the various breath techniques discussed by Pavel to accomodate mouth breathing, such as exhaling sharply through the teeth on swings and 'pulling the adams apple' up towards the back of my mouth to compress the exhalation further. That sort of stuff.

Anyone have any experience, recommendations, literature etc?

Thanks in advance!

/Ulrik
