Recently Black Belt Magazine posted a question on Facebook asking if readers lifted weights to increase their martial power. Among the comments was one person that talked about "muscle confusion". My understanding is that muscle confusion consists of basically changing your routine almost every time you train. Sounds like a waste of time to me. Thoughts?

I think the idea of muscle confusion is based on the concept of training in such a way to avoid adaptation. From a metcon perspective, it may have merit. However, it is a garbage term and anyone who is using it as the basis of their strength program to supplement their martial arts practice will probably get KTFO'd. Pardon my French.
