Barbell Muscles Snatches & Cleans

Sadly, most of my barbell snatches are (inadvertently) muscle snatches... I used to have some competence w. the lift, but my "used to" stories are now 2-4 decades old.

You're just retro.

From what I've read, the old timey guys from 100 years ago used to mainly muscle snatch when they did a 'snatch'; modern fully ballistic squat snatching being mostly a post-WW 2 invention, and even more so after the press was eliminated.
 
Reminds me of Howard Cohen, still competing up to a few years ago, who sadly passed away last week.

 
Doing Isabel would always give me the craziest yoke pump and soreness. I was never skilled enough to do a full snatch so I always just power snatched the wod.
