I am new to the forum and I was wondering if there is any benefit to Olympic weights to over standard weights. I currently have about 300 lbs in the standard weights. Is it a good idea to start investing in olympic weights?
As Henry Rollins has said, 200 pounds is 200 pounds.
Some lifts are better set up with an Olympic set, for example a deadlift, but pressing 150 pounds overhead probably feels the same, standard or Olympic.
