SWINGs- Two Arms vs One Arm:

What will Two Arms Swings give me that One Arm won't ( and the reverse ) ?

Concentrate on One Arm Swings or mix it up ?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions !

Two arm swings have a lower stabilization requirement and let you express pure power more effectively.

One arm swings require more stabilization and are a better choice for building an overall resilient body. That, in turn, is why they are the swing of choice for Kettlebell Simple & Sinister.

There is no reason to exclude two arm swings from your programming altogether. In particular, doing two arm swings is a great way to get used to a weight that’s currently too heavy for you to swing with one arm.

Thank you, Mike.  I'll add one more thought.

IMHO, someone looking for better powerlifting squats and deadlifts will be better served by heavy two-handed swings than by the single handed version.  This has been pretty widely discussed elsewhere, e.g., some people say that a heavy kettlebell swing can even take the place of speed deadlifts in a Westside style training template - and if not take the place of completely, at least augment them in ways difficult to do with a barbell.
