After doing deadlifts, I’ve noticed my swings feels slower... or more patient. I’m not forcing the bell down because I don’t want speed to interfere with technique at this point. Letting the bell slowly come down with gravity gives me time to mentally prepare the hinge. I keep challenging myself to wait for my arms to get even closer before hinging and I pretend I’m about to set the bell down towards the back a la the KB DL. This helps me get lower on my hinge without squatting.
I haven’t seen myself on video to compare but I’ve been feeling it in my hamstrings a bit more, so that’s a good sign.
