On my radar is the American Masters Weightlifting meet which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, November 2-4 (yes that's a plug for anyone who may be interested). I have not yet committed because I have been swamped at work and by the time I get home I am mentally exhausted and really don't feel like doing much other than some kettlebell swings. As great as swings are, they will not prepare me for a weightlifting meet. Nonetheless, I have some time to decide, so I pulled last year's results just to size up my competition.
What I want everyone to focus on is how many athletes are over age 60. In the men's division we have Howard Cohen who is still Olympic weightlifting at age 85. Howard is awesome. When I grow up I want to be like Howard.
