I almost never do ab work before I deadlift.
Today, my son and a friend were training here and I ended up doing some ab-tiring things to show them, specifically a couple of deep, straight-knees, skin-the-cats and a hanging leg raise.
So I took 10% off the DL bar from what I had planned to lift - felt like the right thing to do.
