We recently had someone, following the suggestion of another forum member, post the same message a second time but in a different section of the forum.
There's no need to do this - contact a moderator/admin and we will help you. (Note also that duplicate postings will be removed or at least closed to further responses.)
On a separate but related subject:
If you want to get the attention of someone who doesn't usually frequent the forum you placed your question in, simply tag them.
You tag a user by typing in the "@" character followed by their username - the forum software will help you by, once you've typed in "@" plus three letters of the username, showing you all the people who match. You can just select the correct name from the list, largely eliminating the possibility of typos.
