Used a new pair of PF Flyers for my PT session today. Initial impression: liked them. The toe box is not canted upwards too far, unlike any of the minimal shoes I've tried. This helped me stay rooted to the floor.
I don't like how the toe box top is made of hard rubber, but for a resistance training shoe that probably won't be a problem.
Might look around to try to find a minimalist shoe with a toe box top made of fabric, and the toe box not canted upwards.
