Checkout the Ironmind sandbags. I think this is what I have. I believe it was supposed to hold 100 lbs but I shoved 130 lbs into it.
Just keep doing what you are doing. It sounds like you are making excellent progress. And slowly over time make the bag heavier.
I love sandbags. To me, with the exception of bodyweight training or lifting stones/rocks, sandbag training is truly minimalist.
Another option is a drum or keg filled with water (or preferably beer!!). To me, this feels even more "alive" than a sandbag. I don't have my own to play with. But every once in a while we will throw a party and buy a keg and carrying it into the house sometimes leaves me more exhausted than some of my workouts!
