Trying to be social about training

2/9/23 -- Variety Day
Deadhangs: 2x30 count
G. Squat: 30 seconds at the bottom than up. 32 kg
Get Up: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg. With presses at the half-kneeling positions, the top, and before the side-hinge on the way up only.

2/11/23 -- Heavy Day Number 10
Clean and Press: 2(1+2+3+4+5), 3(1+2+3+4) 24 kg, 60 Total
Swings: 2d6=6. 7x10, 40 kg.
Deadhangs: 22x10 count

I am going to start trying a protein supplement on the heavy and medium days. This left me feeling drained and I want to go to bed early.
 
2/13/23 -- Light Day Number 11
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3) 24 kg, 30 Total
Snatch: 2d6=7. 6x10, 20 kg
Deadhangs: 15x10 count

2/14/23 -- Variety Day
Deadhangs: 1x30 count, 1x25 count
G. Squat: 30 seconds at the bottom then up. 32 kg
Getup: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg. Presses at half-kneeling position, the top, before the side-hinge on the way up, and after the side-hinge on the way down.

2/15/23 -- Medium Day Number 11
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3+4) 24 kg, 50 Total
Swings: 2d6=8. 5x20, 32 kg 100 Total
Deadhangs: 20x10 count
My forearms did not like the long sets of swings.

Well I started taking a scoop of whey protein on the medium and heavy days today. I don't think that I am going to produce very much data in 2 or 3 weeks, but it seems like a better idea than just eating everything.
 
2/16/23 -- Variety Day

G. Squat: 30 second count at the bottom, then up, 32 kg
Get Up: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg. presses at half-kneeling, the top, before the side-hing on the say up, and after the side-hing on the way down.

2/18/23 -- Heavy Day Number 11
Clean and Press: 3(1+2+3+4+5), 2(1+2+3+4) 24 kg. 65 Total
Swings: 2d6=6. 7x10 40 kg, 70 total
Deadhangs: 23x10 count
So much for wildly chaotic loading for the pull: this is the third Saturday in a row that I rolled a 6 and turned in 7x10 swings with the 40 kg bell. It seemed easier this week.
 
2/20/23 -- Light Day number 12
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3) 24 kg. 30 Total
Snatch: 2d6=9. 12x5, 20 kg. 60 Total
Deadhangs: 15x10 count

The Snatches were 5 left, 5 right with a swing transfer, so it might be more accurate to list them as 6x5L, 5 R.
 
2/21/23 -- Variety Day
Deadhangs: 2x30 count
G. Squat: 30 count at the bottom, then up. 32 kg
Get Up: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg: the same 5 presses in the same positions as above.

2/22/23 -- Medium Day Number 12
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3+4) 24 kg, 50 Total
Swings: 2d6=6. 4x20, 32 kg. 80 Total
Deadhangs: 20x10 count

I am surprised that I am still going. The volume is starting to get to me, but I seem to be recovering enough between sessions to keep going. I think it takes me until Wednesday to fully recover from the heavy day.

Swings: 2d6=6 7x10, 40 kg. (70 Total)
Deadhangs: 24x10 count
i am enjoying the difficult but doable last few weeks of Rite of Passage.
And I rolled a 6 on the heavy day again, at least the face of the dice changed, this one was a 4 and 2 while last week it was a 5 and 1.

G. Squat: 30 count then up, 32 kg
Get Up: 1 L, 1R. 16 kg
Playing with the floor press, maybe 3 reps per side with 32 kg

3/1/23 -- Medium Day 13
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3+4) 24 kg, 50 Total
Swings: 2d6=5, 3x20 +8, 32 kg. 68 Total
Deadhangs: 20x10 count

3/2/23 -- Variety Day
Deadhangs: 2x30 count
G. Squat: 30 count
Get Ups: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg. Presses at the top, half-kneeling, and before or after the side-hinge. (5 presses total)

3/4/23 -- Heavy Day 13
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3+4+5) 24 kg, 75 Total
Swings: 2d6=4. 5x10 40 kg. 50 Total
Deadhangs: 25x10 count

Well, that completes a cycle of Rite of Passage. I guess I am going to do two light days next week, and restest on Saturday. Since I am starting a new job soon, I am going to have to switch to an easier program. Maybe the Giant or Easy Muscle Schedule A. Although Soju and Tuba with the 32 kg bell is not something I have ruled out. Or I could even put the clean and press on hold and go back to Simple and Sinister for 8-12 weeks.
 
3/6/23 -- First Light Day Before Testing
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3) 24 kg, 30 Total
Snatch: 2d6=3, 3(5L, 5R) 20 kg 30 Total

3/7/23 -- Variety Day
Deadhangs: 2x30 count
G. Squat: 30 count, 32 kg
Get Up: 1 L, 1 R. 16 kg. Presses in the same position, 5 total.

3/8/23 -- Second Light Day before testing
Clean and Press: 5(1+2+3) 24 kg, 30 Total
Swings: 2d6=5, 4x20, 32 kg. 80 Total
Deadhangs: 15x10 count
 
3/10/23 -- Testing
Clean and Press: 0 L, 1 R. 32 kg
Clean and Press: 0 L, 1 R. 32 kg
My left arm gets pinned to my chest, and I can only get a single with my right arm. I am honestly disappointed.

Double Clean and Press: 5, 2x24 kg bells.
I slowed down on the fifth rep, and since I was clearly not going to reach 10, I stopped.

After thinking about what to do next, I decided to run the Giant 3.0 with the two 24 kg bells, and than if I able Easy Muscle Schedule A with the double 24 kg bells. The whole time I will be performing double front squats as the extra exercise.

I attached a summary of what I did and the results that I obtained.

After looking around at how other people log this type of thing, I will just give the number of sets or rounds that I performed.

3/13/23 -- Giant 3.0 Week 1 Day 1
Double Clean and Press: 16 rounds, 24 kg bells
Double Front Squat: 5, 3, 2 24 kg bells.

Looks like this is going to be rough going. Double 24s are hard.
 
3/17/23 -- Giant 3.0 Week 1 Day 3
Double Clean and Press: 27 rounds, 24 kg bells.

I am going to treat this as park bench programing. If I can do one more round every week, that's great. But if I can't, that's ok because my priority is to settle into my new job. My strength training is just going to have to wait.
Oh, and my daily mobility routine is 1-3 deadhangs for a count of 30, and spending a count of 30 at the bottom of the goblet squat position before coming up with a 32 kg bell. I should probably work in the light get up with presses, but I feel pressed for time and have not done so.
 
3/20/23 -- Giant 3.0 Week2 Day 1
Double Clean and Press: 19 rounds, 24 kg bells
3 More sets then the first week, although the buzzer went off during the last active negative. Today was a good day, if next Monday is not a good day, I will not try to make it one.
 
3/22/23 -- Giant 3.0 week 2 Day 2
Double Clean and Press: 11 rounds, 24 kg bells
I have to rest a lot between sets to make sure that I can get the third clean and press. But I am making the lifts, and I am making progress.
