When I'm doing the "QL straddle" from S&S 2.0, I feel like my lowest ribs push against the top of my pelvis, pinching what flesh is in between. Has anybody else experienced this?
I am currently following S+S and try to keep it Pavel.
I do find that when I DON'T do the stretches that my glutes, QL or hamstrings tend to bother me the next day. So I dig the stretches as restorative tools.

I can't get into position for the QL Straddle as described in Simple and Sinister. I can barely get my legs to 90 degrees apart, and when I do, my lower back is very rounded. There's certainly no room to lean in either direction.
