After a heavy FW session, I don't like to train the lower body hard the next day, but it's not so bad for the upper body. I like the FW as the last exercise of the day after squats or deadlifts of some kind, but they at times deserve a day of their own.
As Dan John recommends, keep changing the load and length. So go heavy and short one day, lighter and longer the next, medium after that, etc. Also could experiment with other carries.
