Push-ups help

Should I be doing the hardstyle push-ups rather than the push-ups that have been learned elsewhere than Strongfirst and would be the norm to start working with sets / reps to begin with? And how much would be the maximum to switch to harder versions? Luigib.

I just consider the hardstyle push up the default for a good standard push up.


--You have some fitness test, law LE or military, when reps / time is how you're measured

--You want to train some other, specific athletic carry over, e.g. I like spider man push ups because the cross body stabilization with one hip flexed and the other extended carries over to my split jerk

--You want to train for planche

--You want to train for ring work
