Barbell Smolov question

Hey all,

Happy New Year!

I was a little lazy over the holidays and would like to put myself through the 2-week Smolov intro squat cycle as outlined on page 27 of "Power to the People Professional." Week 1 is clear but week 2 does not stipulate any particular volume outside of the final workout of the week. I'd appreciate it if someone who has done this 2-week cycle could clue me in to the week 2 volume. Or is Pavlov's modified version the recommended approach?

I haven't done smolov, but I'm familiar with it. It looks... brutal....

Another idea... If you have only taken 1 or 2 weeks off from the holidays. Why not take advantage of this recovery and peak (5 or 3 or 1 reps, whatever is appropriate) for a new PR. Then deload and start a new periodization cycle of whatever your "bread and butter" program is?
 
Thanks William. Your suggestion is likely what I'll do. I just figured it was a good opportunity to try something new and see what the general consensus was before moving forward. Happy New Year!
