Kettlebell Strong day 2 snatches with 36kg
A lot of carries including double front rack, 1 rack + 1 suitcase, and farmer’s carries. So much fun!

Kettlebell Strong day 3, snatches with 36kg
-mixed in one single with 40kg to see how it felt, it was decent but not totally smooth. Glad I chose to go with 36kg for this cycle.
Pistol squat 3x 5/5
Neuro grip push up 2x10
L-Sit pull up 2x7
Great training session!
 
Another week of running the Kettlebell Strong program for snatches. Today my training called for 10x1/1 with 36kg. I mixed in 3 singles with 40kg, and it felt really solid.

Also, for some reason my hands felt great today and had no issues with pinching. Cool!

In addition, I have been doing more bodyweight exercises including pull ups, pistols, and neuro grip push ups. Feeling good!
 
Tried some A+A snatches this morning after a cup of coffee but my hands weren’t having it. I then went for a run and walked as needed to keep my HR low for about 25 minutes in the morning sun. Most enjoyable run I’ve had in a while!

Great day of training today!
Kettlebell Strong 1A snatch with 36kg Day 8
-Worked in 3 sets with 40kg (half bodyweight). Felt heavy but solid!!
Pistol squat 16kg 3x5/5
Straight leg deadlift 48kg 3x10

Shortly after, went for a nice walk outside with my wife.

Excellent training day and looking forward to tomorrow already!

Farmer’s carry 30s on: 30s off for 4 minutes w/ 36kg + 40kg
Curls 25lbs x10 each arm

Warmed up with carries, 2H swings and goblet squats
KB Strong day 10 1A snatch 36kg
-mixed in 4 sets of doubles with 40kg
Pistol squat 16kg x5/5, 24kg x3/3, 16kg x5/5
Neuro grip push ups 3x10
Neutral grip pull up x10,8
Farmer's Carry 30s on: 30s off x4 with 40kg + 36kg
Curls 25 lbs 2 x10/10

Feeling really good! I’ve been adding in some hypertrophy work and really been enjoying it. Gonna take the weekend off of resistance training and come back fresh on Monday! Have a great weekend!
 
Mid week update: 3-14-18
So I went down to 32kg for heavy snatches instead of using 36kg. I have been overgripping the handle and am kicking the bad habit. I think it is fine to do for a heavy snatch single (testing) but definitely not for regular snatching.
So today’s training:
Snatch
24kg 5r x 4
32kg 3r x 10
24kg 5r x6
Pistol squats 16kg 5/5, 24kg 3/3, 16kg 5/5
Goblet squat 48kg 3x8

Focus was on hooking the bell with my fingers. Needs more practice but felt pretty good!
 
One more thing: Tony Gracia from Industrial Strength Gym came over to my school yesterday (Pacific University's Physical Therapy program) to give a talk/instruction on kettlebell training and swings and get ups. How cool is that?!! So naturally, I did swings and get ups when I got home! My classmates were impressed and asked me a lot of questions afterward since they know I love kettelbells :)

Snatches 24kg- 130 reps in repeats of 5
32kg 40 reps in repeats of 2
170 snatches total! This really suprised me! Working on hooking the bell more and only using chalk on my fingers is paying off!

12 minute emom
Min 1-3: 10 push ups emom
Min 4: 7 Pull ups
x3 rounds

Excellent training session. 170 quality snatches followed by a nice upper body pump! Feeling good!

Definitely a bit sore from yesterday, but still wanted to snatch!
A+A snatch
24kg 5r x6
32kg 5r x10
Hands were tender so I kept the volume low.

I didn’t get a run in today as was planned, but I did do two short walks which felt really good.
 
3-19-18
Get up 36kg 1/1, 40kg 1/1
A+A snatch 32k 5r x 12 sets
-trying out some new techniques with my snatch. Hopefully this will allow me to build up more volume with the 32!

12 minute emom
-10 push ups
-10 push ups
-7 pull ups
x 4

MAF Run- 18 minute jog with walking as needed.
-Wasn’t planning on running today but the weather was beautiful and I had some extra time. Felt so good!
-Very productive training session! I’m really looking forward to seeing how much snatch volume improves.
 
3-20-18
Feeling like the epitome of health right now :)
I went for a 25 minute light jog in the sunshine and followed that with a quick stretch of my calves and a single arm bar per side. After that, I had a few strawberries and sipped on a protein shake. An easy jog in the sunshine is definitely worth doing, feels great during and after.

-this roughed my hands up a bit since they weren’t completely recovered from Monday. Hopefully they will be fine to snatch on Friday.

Solid training session! I’m also enjoying starting each session with a heavy get up or two. Feels great!

Solid training session. I really enjoyed today’s get ups and am missing doing swings so I think a few S&S sessions are in store in the coming days :)
