Other/Mixed The 2024 Press Big Plates for Reps

Other strength modalities (e.g., Clubs), mixed strength modalities (e.g., combined kettlebell and barbell), other goals (flexibility)
OHP has quickly grown to be my absolute favorite workout...

Here is the initial OHP before I started getting serious. 225 x 5 (x2) March 19th 2024... since then I have grown tremendously with my OHP, topping 300+ push press and 275 strict.

My max for strict reps is 135lbs for 22 reps

Personally, most proud of this one-
ENTIRE WORKOUT SET TODAY WAS STRICT PRESSED, minus my 1 x 255.
72 reps total, 71 done strict, 1 done push press.
5 x 115
5 x 135
3 x 165
5 x 205
3 x 225
1+ x 255
10 x 135
10 x 135
10 x 135
10 x 135
10 x 135

OK so the 325 was a no go. Wasn't even able to put up my 275 warm up, had bench yesterday so probably a little shot from that still.

Only got 10 x 225, sorry to disappoint. Was hoping for at least 15.
Please put me down for BP: 135lb x 20 (4/25/24)
Excellent work! Logged

As it should be imo. It doesn't make sense to have two completely different lifts competing against each other. At least a sumo deadlift, conventional deadlift and say dumbbell deadlift are all deadlifts. Same with squat variations. But if someone posts say a 3 plate bench how is someone's OHP supposed to compete with that?
I'll compete with it. Just give me 2 weeks to be ready for my new max. I'll get 1x 315 for OHP.

@silveraw current bench max is 325 x 2(didn't get the 3 but will next time) I do NOT want that added to the mix, just sharing the achievement! Crazy to think 5 weeks ago 325 was my max, and I am hitting it for reps with 355 being current max

With the weights you're working with and pushing for maxes, I am a little concerned about bench press safety. (Blame the mom in me...) Have you thought through what happens if you miss and the weight comes back down? Do you have safety bars, or maybe the weight is uncollared so you can dump it if needed?
