J Peterson,

Did the cold claim many DORs, or did guys acclimate rapidly to that? It seems to me that would be a cast iron bitch especially when combined with the other miseries.

Bill, during a winter class, and particularly with a winter Hell Week, the cold will typically be the reason most candidates cite for ringing out (yeah, it does get that bad; especially when the sun goes down).

Anecdotally, surfer boys are said to cope with this misery the best, as well as the dudes who managed to somehow find the sweet spot between high mileage preparation and maintaining (what they claim) an insulting layer of blubber.

All my guesses about this subject are just from watching those TV specials, but it sure seemed to me that methodical cold water exposure and a metric crap ton of overhead pressing strength and overhead holding endurance would help. Strong as hell abs would too.

Thanks Señor Petersen
