I just completed six weeks of BuiltStrong Minimalist, and I love it! This has been my most favorite StrongFirst program so far.

After attending Plan Strong this past weekend, a question occurs to me. In PS, we routinely discussed planning individual lifts more, or less, on their own. When I attended Built Strong last year, we mostly talked about programming for several lifts.

I've found that some of the sessions can get quite long with Built Strong. I've fiddled a bit with splitting up the sessions, but I like the efficiency of circuits. Have any of you experimented with making one long session into multiple, shorter sessions? Fabio said that he will sometimes do...
Another question: Is it okay to go over 16 sets for a given lift in a session? I'm upping the volume this month, and I need more than 16 sets to get to the NL for one session. We never went over this number of sets in the seminar, and the worksheets stop at that number, too.

Is it recommended to reduce monthly NL in competition months? For one of my lifts, a Delta 20 reduction in volume would fall below the general monthly volume guidelines. Is this acceptable?
