Damn, but I do love simple and sinister. As expected, I had a tough time keeping the running HR down after lifting. My HR was already in the 140+ range as soon as I put the HR monitor on after changing into running shoes. Over all, the short run after the lifting felt great.

I was re-energized after this.

I did a light 20 minute session on the elliptical before my swings yesterday and had the same issue HR wise. I wasn't dying but it with out a doubt effected my performance. Although in my case I may just be more out of shape than I thought. Lol.

Try switching the locomotive work to after the swings...

I had the exact same problem tonight
It's to be expected for me, since it was the first time trying it. Hardstyle OHS/TGU is a different mindset from MAF aerobic work.

Hardstyle you try to be as tight as possible in the right places every rep. MAF locomotion work you need to do more of a dynamic relaxation. Took my brain a few moments to flip the switch.

Agree with offwidth here.

145 HR due to forgetting to slow my pace on a hill

This was refreshing after sitting down at a desk all day, despite the sun feeling extra hot somehow! Worked on staying tall, upright and open. Since this was a shorter run, I let my pace pick up. It seemed to be the case that when I relaxed more (to a point) I ran faster. Still much to learn with running, everything still seems new and I don't trust my observations yet.

This was enjoyable, despite humidity so high it was close to looking like fog. It was fun not to need to worry about holding my pace back for a little while.

08.20 - 08.31
Attended a 10 day training for my new job. Stayed at a hotel in downtown Chicago. Training was everyday from 8:30 - 5:00. With a big weekend project. By the time I ate dinner and did a few hours of homework I had zero time for physical training. It was a great training experience despite zero time for physical training.

Yesterday:
40 minute brisk walk when I arrived back home, plus a 24 hour water only fast.

Today:
At MGG around 10:00 AM

Prying Goblet Squats

Deadlifts
225 x 1, 265 x 1, 285 x 1

One Hand Swings
EMOM

My lower back was very stiff, as expected from sitting all day for 10 days through an intense training. I should of made time for my stretching and mobility work.
