Chronicles of Becoming a Man

Bent Press Practice today.

Worked ladders 1,2,3 with the 24, and a few ladders of 1,2 with the 28 to get ready for next week. Also changing up my stance positions for my feet to experiment with what feels betters. What works for me is a stance similar to swings and GS versus the traditional windmill stance.
 
More snatch prep work with ladders again.

I'm going to see how KSK phase 1 goes with the 32, followed by Giant 3.0 with the 28s before I decide what will come next. I'm really enjoying these blocks, and I will finish these last 2, but my beloved Long Cycle is calling my name. Either Kettlebells StrongFirst or GIant 3.0 LCCJ with a single 32kg.

One bad rep....Actually, is the the last drop on the 3rd rung of the 2nd ladder. Before I set the bell down, I gripped to soon and too hard. It took a nice piece of skin from the PALM of my hand. I'm not sure why I did this. All the other reps before and after were spot on except for that one. I haven't had skin open up in almost 2 years. I was able to finish the session, but my power and tension where down on that side for the rest of the ladders.

I'm happy with the progress this week getting the numbers up and my overall average HR per session. What I am not happy with is today my hinge was not deep enough, especially on the right. This was causing my taming of the arc to be less disciplined as it was casting away from my body more than it should've been on the right side, my stronger side.

I did not put the foot on the gas for this session to focus a deep hinge and holding the lockout for an extra moment or 2. even with not pushing it, i managed to complete the same NL as last week.

The first time I tested the 32kg a in May, I achieved 3 reps on both sides. July, I tested at 9 reps. Today, a solid improvement of 14 and 15 reps. My lungs could take it. I stopped when my power decreased.

I still have a test session tomorrow for the single LCCJ with the 32kg. Monday I will start Giant 3.0 with the 28s followed by the Kettlebell Strongfirst single LCCJ plan.
