Well… depends a bit… but the vast majority of time that I’m on trails is either trail running, or approaching climbs in the mountains. So I wear either my traditional trail runners (Brooks Cascadia) or my rigid mountain boots…
What boots are these? I am intrigued.

Belleville Mini-Mils. A minimalist combat boot. They are awesome as long as they last, but I've had my two pairs wear out on me after 1.5 years of daily use. Now I'm looking for something similar, but with a replaceable sole. I like the Whites fire boots in that regard, I know many people have them last decades (with resoling). Now if they made a lighter weight version with a flat sole and roomy toebox, that'd be awesome.

Not very. It is a steep and very rocky trail except for the river crossing. Not really a running trail. Also, I was using poles; something I almost never do…
Thanks for that, I do find it interesting. I used to work in a climbing gym, amongst other outdoor sports jobs and I'm interested in the how the sector is going. I started in Sheffield in the 90's and it was about scary routes and campusing until your elbows became dust. Good to see the diversification of demographics, facilities and use. However, the downside is that I get humbled on all the new world cup style problems, but they are a lot of fun and stop me seizing up.Found this gem from Mountain Tactical Institute's Weekly article digest (Arete 3.4.2023 (link)):
Just Do Work - Climb Strong
My initial impressions is Zone 1 or 2 trail runs/hikes, Q&D or A&A, with some grinds (getups/goblet squats/military presses) to taste could be quite helpful as good base building "just do work".

Yeah I did, I started just around when hard grit came out. My first trad lead was at froggat. Have you climbed at Burbage? It's a funny place with some relatively small yet terrifying climbs, loads of test peices and some very easy stuff.
