My Busy Dad protocol - a GtG success

I prefer 044 (snatching is uniquely gratifying) but my traps are still sore from snatching the other day so I'm gonna let that cool off.

Honestly 033 feels about 5-10 percent easier than 044 right now, but also... The last pushup was not as fast or crisp as the first so- I have a lot of room to grow.

Looking at a cycle of Q&D.
Looking at Daily Dose Deadlifts.
May run in parallel or conjugate.

I guess the plan is solidifying into a snatch program. Maybe swings too. But I didn't have enough room for pushups today.

I'm enjoying this rest interval.
Reps slowed down in the last set.
Building volume.
Shoulder still feels ok.

I guess I'll find out if I can work up to 100 reps Victor protocol unless something changes.

Current working plan...
Wave snatching load between 40,60,80 reps per day. Every other day is 40 rep day.
40 - 60 - 40 - 80 - 40 etc. Ad lib.
Current Goal is Victor protocol 5day/week

Well...
that escalated quickly.


Took yesterday off. Life got in the way.
Today was a big day for me.
Victor protocol today.
Taking tomorrow off.

Let's see how 3 sessions / week goes.

Not as easy as a minimum volume day of q&d, but easier than a max volume day of q and d.

I'm guessing that my biceps are not that strong because they are feeling a bit of pump from the session.

This timing is working very well with the 24kg bell.
I'm noticing my shoulder but only a mild sensation.
Will keep this up for at least a little while.

If this training is as profitable as it is gratifying, then I'm in luck.

Current Goal is 5x week . Will see how life and recovery feel.

Train Fresh

Had an unplanned extra day of rest. felt fresh.
Shouldn't feel too bad about feeling fresh going into today's practice.
life is getting in the way - may switch over to Q&D for shorter sessions or - start dice-rolling loads for straight 10x10 to cut things short.

Roll die for volume/ intensity ? If you ever get to train that is.

Test for strength and condition (of my left shoulder pressing injury)

Strict Press
1x5 16kg
left shoulder felt a pang of discomfort
Right shoulder still healthy

1x1 24kg
left shoulder felt dull discomfort
Right shoulder still healthy

1x1 32kg
Left shoulder felt less discomfort due to increased ulnar deviation. Upper arm kept closer to lat shelf.
Right shoulder still healthy.

1x1 40kg
Left shoulder felt dull discomfort. Upper arm kept toward lat shelf during rep. Dropped rep into rack today as in jerk.
Right shoulder still healthy.

Over all tighter posture, and less leaning overall, especially to the rear.

Hard to classify as Pain , so that's good.
Can still press 40kg right through the sticking point, good.

Will continue snatching for now.

It occurs to me that I don't actually have a physical die to roll, or spare change that I haven't already tucked away in a piggy bank.

I'm just chuckling to myself now.

Maybe I'll get my hands on physical dice instead.

I haven't had a board game around since I was a kid.

kept my effort dialed to 75% of max.

Lower back felt that one... Interesting.
