@ShawnM Thanks, program is great so far. Building strength is like learning a language, you need to spend time with it to build the skill and adapt. The heavy farmer carry transfers well into every movement so it is an essential accessory exercise.
I figured out lately that I prefer doing any accessory/assistance work before the main work as well. Never really thought about it until I read @ShawnM question and your answer. It makes more sense with strength-is-a-skill approach...
If an assistance drill helps you to move better (improves your main skill) do it in the prep portion of the session. If that does not help you to move better than "assistance" is questionable...
@natewhite39- You defiantly deserve an off day. Mine was yesterday, I had finish theses damn pies before the work week started. Lol. Well done in your training sir!
@Swann 1 I always do the S&S drills for prying goblet squat, halo, and hip bridge... I also typically add a variety of OS resets and bit of yoga as well. Takes about 10 minutes.
It was a privilege to attend Craig Liebenson's coaching and practical application workshop today- "Sustainable Training: The Role of Core Stabilization & How to Avoid Over-Correcting."
I highly recommend his work if you are familiar with the practice of Gray Cook, Kelly Starrett, Stuart McGill and of course Pavel.
I like how you incorporate walking into your routine. I know this is something strongly encouraged by OS and is something I need to do more often. What is the reasoning for choosing 2 miles?
