I'll update the progress board today. Here's a set from Saturday - feeling pretty solid right now, though the higher intensities aren't great.
@Boris Bachmann sorry!! 35 reps with 135 lbs3/14 35x60. 30+ requires some effort it seems. There's only partial clip in insta because I still don't know how to use it.

I might be able to get into this, sort of.
Joined Planet Fitness since my wife and daughter already have memberships. Caveat, their HS smith machine is one of the slightly angled ones with a damper on it. The groove on it is a little strange and not sure if loading tracks 1:1 with a free barbell.
But, it IS a barbell.
I don’t have a real problem with the vertical ones. This one has dampers on it, which I can see being safer but not terribly welcome.I like the smith machine, don't really get the hate, it's actually a great piece. I'm not sure what to think of the angled ones. If I got one for myself I'd likely get one that goes vertically. I'd actually love one but I just don't have the room.
All that said, it is different from the free weight barbell.
