8.5 mile run with my cuz, she’s in town for an outing with friends. She used to live here and we would run all the time (she’s fast), so i picked up the pace a bit today too. And ignored Ll my data, was definitely above MAF and got into zone3/4 but it was fun running with her again.
9:40 pace, 155 HR avg.

Ya, she’s a trail runner from northern MI. It definitely made me reflect on how I used to train (hard and fast all the time, chasing strava segments, etc.). I did fine today and know i can do even more, but I was a bit tired and sore today. How sustainable would that be in the long term and is that why I broke my foot near the end of my training cycle last year? Keep those as every one in a whilers and just keep focusing on my aerobic base. Today was the first day back to normal.
Ya, i have some half marathon in a month or so and the Chicago Marathon in October. Trying a lower intensity, but higher mileage than previous training cycles.you look like you're getting ready for a race
