Bret S. training log

Tues 12/12

4 mi run/walk on the mesa.

Needed this.. legs took a beating, this is the first foray onto the mesa since before the accident. Running uphill and downhill on higher hills felt great. Legs held up pretty well considering, especially on the descent.. quads just cruised along down the steep and twisting trail, footing there is not level and deeply rutted and banked due to mountain bikers.

Fri 12/15

Run/walk 4.44 mi, cut some off due to stopping and chatting with some friends.
Another trip to the mesa. Currently at 41 hrs fasted, HR was higher and 'spikier' this time as well as lactic acid buildup on the climbs. Was not completely recovered from the last mesa jaunt, though energy level remained fairly steady. Will cool down and break the fast at 42 hrs.

Walk later

Really enjoying these low impact sessions, feels like a heart massage from the inside out. Damper at 5, starting at ~20 SPM and letting momentum build on its own.

walk later
24 hr fast
