Hour long fasted walk, AM

PM:

Snatch
24k x 04s x 5r
32k x 06s x 5r
24k x 10s x 5r

Rest 5:00

Mace
8k x 16s x 5r

Excellent session. First few sets of mace work were a bit shaky due to the snatch sets with the 32k, but then I remembered the dynamic grip lessons and it smoothed out. These two lifts together are exactly what I need at the moment. I'm enthusiastic about training again, which is nice.

Hmmm.. the 'watch' notifications don't seem to work consistently in this forum.

I'm glad you see how mace and snatch work go together like peanut butter and chocolate, mace is the anti-snatch for me, strengthening the anterior as I recover from snatching. It's just a beautiful thing, like active rest only better.. I can say mace has strengthened anterior and shoulders very well, and that in turn has strengthened the posterior chain .
At this point I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I know it does and that's good enough for me.

PM:
Snatch, 24k x 12s x 10r

Rest 5:00

Mace, 8k x 12s x 5r

Mace work was tough after the sets of 10 snatches. I need to take my time on the mace work and feel free to reset my grip between reps to keep it smooth. Snatches I need to play chicken with the bell, keeping my hips locked up a moment longer in the drop.

This session was challenging. Had to breathe out through the mouth for several breaths after the sets of snatch. Worked up a really good sweat too.

11.22 - Day of Rest

2 naps:
1.0 hours shortly after breakfast
0.5 hours after lunch

Walk
04:05 PM, 00:59:20, 106 bpm avg hr

Right after walking:
3 rounds Goblet Squats, Push-ups, Downward Dogs
2 rounds of arm bars, crooked arm bars, 90/90 stretch

Ahh, feeling good again. My feet, hips, obliques, and low back needed this restful weekend. I was oddly worn out!

Walk
10:21 AM, 00:56:03

Running @ 04:04 PM
00:30:09, 134 bpm avg hr, 142 bpm max hr, 14:45 min/mi, 2.05 mi

Ahhh, this felt good. Huge winds again, up to 45 mph. On the one hand the winds keep me nice and cool, but on the other hand it sure is tough to keep pace running in and out of the gusts.
