Oddly, my right ankle was tight during snatching. Nothing even remotely painful, but it was an odd sensation. After training I did a few downward dogs, and the last few inches of the Achilles tendon close to the foot released a bit.

Otherwise, these reps of snatching were great! 32k was smooth as butta. I was surprised at how quickly the 32k moved.

Focused on keeping my posture tall while making sure my legs never felt strain but had enough tension to perfectly absorb force and redirect it. This is challenging for me; I still want to powerlifter MAX TIGHT ALL THE TIME instead of dynamic tightness.

Man, this walk was hard...the entire town smells like smoked meats! West Texas apparently does Thanksgiving right!

Since I had trouble locking on my hips with the breath yesterday while snatching, I ran some Q&D with two hand swings to reinforce that hip lock. I performed the pushups on my hands and exploded off the floor so fast I came up off my hands at the top. Really hit the triceps, and actually seemed easier on the wrists than the fist pushups.

With the rowing, I put down the stupid screen on the rower and used a countdown timer on my phone to hit 30:00. Made it much more enjoyable. It really bugs me how the screen on the rower is not centered.

Good training session, felt refreshed and recharged afterwards!

Excellent session. Hip snap/breath sync much better tonight. Mace work is improving dramatically, and with it so is my snatch work.

Pretty good run. Bit on the cold side with a 20 mph north wind. Good progress pacing in the wind though.

That is good pacing in the wind Matt, how is your knees and calves doing?
For me the limiter right now is my feet and Achilles tendon. Still lots of adaptation going on there. So I'm just being patient and cruising along with the 30:00 runs for the moment. I'm going to hit a 45:00 run on Saturday and see how that goes, so hopefully I'll be at 2x30:00 and 1x45:00 as the new standard. Just taking it easy, enjoying training, and moving along one step at a time!

Yep, no hurry on worries..

Despite having the day off of work, I managed to forget to go for my usual pre-lunch walk. Ha. So I added a little cleanup row at the end of the training session. Felt quite good afterwards. My chassis is feeling very good. I should be able to start upping the run times here and there. Tomorrow if all systems are go I'm looking to get in a 45:00 run. It's a bit of a dance trying to balance out the running and the kettlebells. I'll get there eventually. For now, I just bounce back and forth between trying to up the output in one or the other, seeing how it feels, then adjusting up or down. It's an interesting ongoing experiment. It would help if I had any sort of background in running, as I pretty much just throw s*** at the wall and see what sticks, ha. Everybody likes to talk about knees with running as a warning sign, but for me the early warning sign seems to be my feet. When they're barking at me during my easy walks I know I'm hitting something too hard and it's time to back it down.

Not bad. Had to slow my pace significantly to control the runny nose. I was hoping that wouldn’t happen here in the Texas cold with the low 30% humidity, but no such luck. It’s always a problem when I run in air temps lower than about 55 degrees. But it might have been a blessing in disguise, as my feet and ankles gave me zero troubles. I was able to land softly but kick off nicely with every step. Anyways, quite pleased I was able to maintain a smooth fluid running gait the entire time. Good step in the right direction.

Oddly, HR spiked up to 120 bpm and my breathing felt like I was running a couple times in the first 15 minutes, but then settled down.

You did 45 mins running earlier in the day, which is new.. so not too surprising I would think?
