Hey friends, I'm on a search for a simple long-time workout routine which is extremely effective on time and has a potential of keeping me generally fit. I also have one serious limitation which is a low ceiling (10 cm above my head) in an apartment from which I work and where I have some time...
Hi,
I recently reviewed the Naked Warrior book, and am interested in obtaining some of the references for information given in there. There are two questions:
1. I'm pretty sure it was in this book, but I couldn't find it back - a 2-3 month study in which there was a control group, a group that...
I've read NW and love the difference pistols and OAPUs have made to my strength. I've been doing GTG for both for the past 6 weeks and have reached a comfortable 2x5 (each leg) on pistols and can do a single set of 4 on OPAUs.
My max on OPAUs is probably a single set of 5. I've been upping...
Hi all!
I have been doing NW for a while and I am now. The other day I tested and to my surprise... I was able to do a OAPU with my right arm.
Pistols progressed faster at the beginning, but I have now somewhat stalled. If planets align, I can do a pistol with either leg. I would appreciate if...
Hi all,
I'm curious about the comparison of recommended volume between Naked Warrior and Easy Strength. As far as I recall from the books, both programs are daily training. Easy Strength suggests a volume of about 10 reps per day. About NW, there are no specific volume guidelines as far as I...
Hi guys! I’ve not posted on the forums for a month or two now so I hope everybody’s all good first and foremost!
I have recently looked through the NW book for the first time and I am looking at incorporating it into my training week. However, as effective as GTG is, I just don’t have the time...
Summary: Lower rep sets, easier drills, more stretching.
Upon revisiting Naker Warrior, I find myself re-learning the end-level drills, but mostly spending time on things like one-arm wall pushups and box pistols in the 2-3 rep range. I stretch before and after sets for a short time now. I use...
I have been reading Beyond Bodybuilding, and have recently reread the chapter about 'Progressive Movement Training'. In summary, you can gain squat or bench press strength by lifting heavy with a partial range of motion, and gradually increasing the range of motion. It seemed like pistol squats...
Let me preface this by saying that I believe NW as written (GTG) is the best way to get strong through OAPU and Pistols, but here are some templates to make it work for you if GTG is a little too loose for you, or if you want a single session
Single session NW workouts.

Hello everyone. This series of threads is meant to give a little bit more clarity on making the NW work.
I don't mean for these posts to be too long. My intention is to compile resources in one place for anyone who might be searching the forum for advice on the NW.
Hopefully these posts will...
One Arm Pushups, on the floor, have undoubtedly added to my shoulders and triceps.
This was achieved through sets of 1-3 through out the day. Never really touched sets of 4-6.
While you may not achieve the "pump" like with other pushups, the OAPU does indeed affect the look of one's body...
Here's a few things to comment on naked warrior.
1. both the exercises serve to tie the right arm to the left leg and the right leg to the left arm.
2. the lego squat is an excellent low-knee-stress pistol variation. i even weight it using kettlebells. i can do more weight via lego squat than...
hello everyone i've been working on these for a while now but would like some feedback regarding the inevitable twisting.
in fact any feedback would be appreciated on technique.
as per form guidelines, here's a couple videos
baggy shirt in first video kind of hides twisting.. took a...

hello everyone, 2 months out from my first post Getting the Most Out of The Naked Warrior
Overall, some NW progress from the past 2 months:
can now do a full, clean pistol on both legs. 5-6 on the left and 2-3 on the right.
can pistol a 35 bell on the left leg, don't know how much on right...
basically just wondering how.
on the one hand I'm getting better at HTT and am generating more tension by the day.
the downside is that I'm starting to get a lot of the tension spill over into my head, especially when clenching the fist
the vein in my head goes crazy and I feel like that...
Hello everyone. Thanks for all the help thus far! I feel like joining this forum has helped to increase my understanding of these skills and, ultimately, of strength.
6'1 Male, 155 pounds, ~12-15% BF, no real mobility issues to speak of, I can move pretty well
I've been running NW and trying...
Hello everyone. Posted a few things in this "Body weight" forum lately. Really glad to have found a group of people who can help me with my questions regarding TNW.
I am 6'1, 154 pound male. Body fat about 12% (could be wrong, that's what it looks like compared to pictures though)
No injuries...

No injuries, although elbow and patella tendon occasionally give me trouble if I overdo it. I move pretty well, can wall walk...
Hello, just to answer the basic questions first:
relevant demographics: I'm 23, Male, 6'1, 155, and pretty low body fat (I'd say 12% based on eyeballing it)
- injury history: no injury history that I can think of, except that i sometimes experience joint pain in my elbow or knee, but only if...
