Jeremy started lifting weights at 14 years old in his high school weight room. After his first workout, he instantly developed aspirations to become a professional bodybuilder. As a beginner lifter, he realized that there was a vast amount of information on the science of resistance training and nutrition. It was simply too overwhelming for the average gym goer to sift through and be able to develop practical conclusions. So, Jeremy made it his intent to study it himself and help others reach their health, bodybuilding, fitness goals by breaking down complex literature into articles that anyone can understand.
Over the next several years, Jeremy went on to break his high school bench press record, earn the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and publish multiple peer-reviewed articles on the topics of resistance exercise and performance-enhancing substances. Now, he is finishing up his last year of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, building his online coaching business “Trained By Jay”, and still pursuing his endeavors of becoming a professional bodybuilder. Jeremy is also continuing his quest to make strength and bodybuilding science more digestible to readers by becoming a contributing author for StrongFirst.
